Holiday Cranberry Chutney

1 bag (12 ounces) fresh and frozen cranberries 1-1/4 cups sugar
1 large tart apple, chopped 3/4 cups water
2 tsp. garlic powder1 tsp grd ginger 2 tsp grd cinnamin
1/4 tsp grd cloves  

  1. In a saucepan, combine all ingredients; bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  2. Reduce heat; simmer for 15-20 minutes until apple is tender and mixture thickens.
  3. Cool completely. Store in the refrigerator.
  4. Serve over cream cheese with crackers or as a condiment with pork, ham or chicken
