Never use Ear Candles without a second person with you. You are using an open fire and do not want to invite an accident. You will need a glass of water, paper plate, and matches. Cut a cross in the center of the paper plate big enough to put a Candle in it snugly. The small end is on the bottom side of the plate and sticking through far enough to be placed into the ear. Lay on your side, pull all hair away from the ear, light the Candle and place the small end of the Ear Candle in your ear and gently between your fingers. Be sure you do not squeeze the Ear Candle. Make sure the small end is well seated in the ear. Slant the cone slightly, without breaking the seal. If you would like to massage the person you are Ear Candling, massage along the brow, forehead, cheek bone, jaw bone, the side of the neck and the back of the neck always toward the ear. Do not move the head around. This should be a gentle and relaxing experience. Be attentive to the person that is being Candled. When it burns down 7"
take the Candle out of the ear and extinguish the flame in a cup of water. Clean the outside of the ear with your Q-tip and if you like, place a couple of drops of Mullein, Garlic or Olive oil in your ear. Do NOT put the Q-tip into your ear. Unwrap or cut open the remainder of the ear candle.

Remember - K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple Silly! This is a home health care remedy that should be used with common sense. Please see our warning page.

You have to use your own judgement as to what feels normal and how often to use them. A general suggestion is to use them as needed. Many people use at least three candles per ear, per session. Stop if your ears feel uncomfortable. The cones are not to be used for fun or entertainment. Trust yourself.
