Nutmeg Meltaways


1 cup organic butter (no substitutes)1/2 cup fructose
1 tsp vanilla extract 2 cups organic all purpose flour
3/4 cup ground almonds (toasted)1 cup confectioner's sugar
1 TBL ground nutmeg


  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Gradually add flour, mix well. Stir in almonds.
  2. Shape into 1" balls; place 2" apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  3. Bake at 300 deg for 18-20 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned. Cool on wire racks.
  4. Combine confectioner's surgar and nutmeg.
  5. Gently roll cooled cookies in sugar mixture. Yield: 5 dozen.
